On our way to Austin after Big Bend we stopped in Ozona for breakfast at a place called Pepe's. Corrie was so impressed by breakfast that she had to take a picture of it and I will never hear the end of it until I post it here on FirstGateDreamer. So here is her description:
"The eggs mixed with crispy-fried flour tortillas, refried beans, and potatoes were all mouth watering and washed back with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice we had just witnessed the best darn-tootin breakfast in Texas."
I must admit, the breakfast and orange juice were stellar. Their Ice Tea is actually Iced Tea too! What I liked about this place was what appeared to be bullet holes in the front window and the photo of the little boy chef, Pepe, which you can see above the table. They also had some cheezy art with stoner pop stars (like Jim Morrison and Jimmi Hendrix) with naked women and pot leaves 'hidden' in their hair or smoke.

Mmm... I love breakfast, and that one looks delicious. I would have taken a picture of it too. But I like to take photos of my food. And to add stoner posters of pop stars to it all.... well that makes for one fine breakfast.

I would break veganism again for that breakfast. I can't stress enough how good it was.

Don't look welcoming for the Veggie folks out there, I guess that's the Texan way? Looks like an awesome plate of scoff!
