I have no clue what this place actually was besides guessing that it was some sort of daycare. When looking through the top window you can see children's wallpaper of some sort. I don't even know if it's still there since again this is another shot from back in April '06.

Christina: This is somewhere in Lowertown. Maybe Cathcart? Close to the Hospital as you can see in the background

Looks like a biker's party house, but the morning after when everyone wishes they had not been partying.

This is a comon sight on buildings that have "Cultural" Significance. A developer buys the building and then spends money to make it derilect. I.E. board up windows but allow an access so vandals can get in and do their work. In no time they will have their permit to demolish it and build condos. The rideau center has done this with the Registrars building and the big brick one on Rideau. Short of starting a fire, this is the only way to get a demolision permit in a historic city. In Kingston they just burn places down. I have seen five limestone fires on Princess street in Kingston and they were all replaced by cinder block towers. It looks like we will see some new condos soon.

This is a house on either Guigues or Bruyere street in Lowertown...the art on the windows is some of the early work of "Puzzle", one of the first graffiti artists in Ottawa. His general style was to blend his characters in with the background wall or whatever he was writing on...if you pay attention, you can still see other Puzzle pieces that are still up around the downtown core...the Victorian couple on the roof of a store by Sussex / George streets for example. In a way this building is a part of Ottawa's street art history!
