Maybe some drunk teens took these windows out for a joyride and then ditched em' when they were done. Happened to my parents' car once.

I doubt that teens did this only because they would have smashed them. Well, I guess if they were drunk enough, but then again, that wouldn't stop me from smashing them!!! Hey, with the right amount of sunlight, it looks like this could start a fire! Call Smokey the Bear.
