I can't wait for snowshoeing. The first year Corrie spent Gift-mas with my family, we went out to the camp which is only accessible by boat in the summer. It's on a river and the terrain is too rough for a snowmobile or ATV so we get there on snowshoes or cross country skis. It's nice to go to the camp to build a fire and have some lunch and some hot tea. The camp feels like such a different place in the winter. So much quieter without boats, the tourists across the river, and barely any bird activity or bugs making noise. I miss the camp and that kind of solitude. Hopefully there will be enough snow during Gift-mas to do it again.

Looks like it might not have been as cold if someone would have closed the freezer door.
