The subject matter here is a little unclear in this photo but I just couldn't seem to be able to make it so. I like how a vine can work it's way into a blemish in concrete and slowly destroy it over time.
I love the way nature can just take things back. Surely she will take back the earth. All the concrete and glass, the steel and the asphalt will once again be consumed and processed back into lush forests and meadows or whichever way she sees fit. We are a part of nature yet we constantly strive to control it or distance ourselves from it. In the end all we are or will ever be is dirt.

You were up at 4:16. That's amazing! I seriously just blacked out in amazement, I can't even see the photo now. It's not important anyway, 4:16? For like 2 years of my life, that was my bed time? You're insane! Who says nature's a she? It's like assuming God's a he. Ronnie Boy! Think about it.

yeah, this is really striking. i like the processing and the framing. almost abstract in concept, it would make a good large print.

@AL: I don't get up that early nor do I stay up that late. The time is actually 4 minutes after midnight and not 4 in the morning. I didn't actually post it at that time either. I upload my photos in batches and set them up to be posted shortly after midnight, usually one minute after midnight but sometimes I use a different time if I need to change the posting dates around so it doesn't phuck shit up in the database.

The weed in your crack is realy sturring up some good comments Ruh. I agree that Nature (if we mean Universal Nature) will take back the earth. One sure way will be when she consumes it with the Sun. I don't mean this in a negative way. Change will always take place and I think we will always be part of those changes in one form or another. I like to believe that we are part of the Universe around us. Or better yet, we ARE the Universe around us. That's hard on the head. Can someone help me with that one? I hope I didn't get too deep with the weed in your crack.
