One thing I need to do is learn how to sail. I've been thinking about it a lot lately as I re-read Robert M. Pirsig's 'Lila'. This image also reminds me of his first book 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance'.
I don't claim to be any sort of expert on philosophy but I find these both of these books very interesting reads and would recommend them to anyone. I've read other books on philosophy but find they make me feel rather sluggish. The way Pirsig puts these thoughts into his personal narrative refreshingly breaks up the monotony. I much prefer 'Lila' as he seems to have his thoughts a little more sorted than in his first.
