The Buckthorn, Calabogie, Ontario.
My friend Kyle and I went on a cycling trip on July 14-16th during a crazy hot weekend. We started in Calabogie, took the K.P. trail down to Snow Road Station, then back to Ottawa. Turned out to be around a 220km trip on our mountain bikes. Kyle had so much gear on his bike his tire was warping and he was snapping spokes. A scary thing to happen when you're over 100kms away from home with no decent bike shops in between. As always I saved his ass. I was able to carry it on mine (with a heavy duty rear wheel) up to the campsite. We left our gear there until we were able to drive out the following Saturday.
