Jibacoa, Cuba. December 2009.
We took the Hershey Electric Railway train back to a location close to our resort ater a night's stay in Havana, Cuba. During that ride our dear friend began to get rather ill (combination heat/digestion/alcohol) and didn't enjoy her train ride as much as the rest of us. Once we got off the train there was no way we would have survived the ~5 Km hike back to the resort in the blistering heat on unmarked/unknown trails. Luckily I was able to flag down this wonderful, friendly, generous man who squeezed us into his little car and drove us back to our resort. He wouldn't accept money but we purposely forgot a few items of clothing and pesos in the back seat of his car. Gracias amigo.
